Vision Board Setup

Guys when I tell you there is power in writing your dreams down, trust me there is. I was able to start achieving my goals – well a lot of them after I took the time to intentionally write them and create a well-thought-out vision board. I look at my vision board as a legally binding contract with myself. I also love that the bible endorses this as well in Habakkuk 2:2-3 – “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” So best belive I have been sold on the idea of a vision board and just writing down my goals. Here are the steps you need to take if you are interested in creating a vision board.

First, it’s important to pray and seek God’s guidance. Maybe the things that you want are not even the things that God desires for your life.

Start by writing down everything you hope to achieve. It doesn’t matter how big or small they may seem.

Take some time to question your “why”. Your “why” needs to be solid as this will help to keep you grounded and focused on achieving your dreams.

When you take a look ahead 5 to 10 years do these goals still resonate with you?

Now it’s time to get your materials, and you need not look further than the dollar tree. You can let your creative juices flow and make the board fancy or as plain as you like. Old magazines or even the good ole Google will serve you well for your pictures.

After you have created your vision board, place it in an area where you can view it daily to help keep you focused.

Break down your goals into tiny tasks, and add these tasks to your calendar, this helps with intentionality.

Your vision board should excite you and challenge you in the same breath.

Remember your “why” always, in your goals and aspirations. It has to be sound, and it has to hold true meaning to YOU. This is what will help to keep you focused when the time gets hard.

Follow people who inspire and motivate you. Even on social media. People who have the same goals as you and who are already where you wanna be.

Do not be afraid to start over. Failure is not the opposite of success. It is a part of success.

Are you into vision boards? Let me know. Wishing for you a goal-crushing year!

Until next time my loves xoxo
