If you know me then you know that I love to try new products. So it’s no wonder that I picked up a few affordable items from the Allure Best of Beauty Awards 2020. Well, most of the items I tried were under $20 bucks. They had a lot of winners ranging from hair care to beauty tools at different price tags. Some I loved, a few not so much. Here’s what I tried.

  1. Skinceuticals CE Ferulic

You will find this product in the “splurges” section because it’s expensive and I am crying because it works. This is one vitamin C facial product that I have faith in. The cost is $168

2. Secret Antiperspirant With Essential Oils

I wanted to like this natural antiperspirant in a bid to start using natural underarm products. But it’s a no for me. Totaly did the opposite of keeping me dry and smelling fresh. But I love the fact that they have an essential oil line.

3. Dove Eventone Antiperspirant

I never saw much difference in the tone of my underarm but I was definitely kept dry and fresh. So for that reason, it will be kept in my rotation.

4. The Beauty Blender Original

This is my all-time favorite beauty blender that I have been using for years. It’s super soft and it just allows for seamless makeup application. $20.00

5. Cover Girl Cooling Glow Stick

This highlighter is so beautiful and I am glad I purchased it. It gives the most subtle glow and a little goes a far way. $5

6. Briogeo Avocado + Kiwi Superfood Mask

For $36 I wouldn’t repurchase. I saw Avocado and thought wow! But it’s a no for me. Briogeo definitely has other products that are way more moisturizing, I really had high hopes for this product.

7. IMPRESS Press-On Manicure

Love, love, love these. I have weak nails so I stay away from traditional nails. I have been using these for over a year now and am obsessed. They can last up to 12 days and the cost is only $6.99

8. Olay Cleansing and Nourishing Body Wash

I love the feeling of getting out of the shower and feeling as if I don’t even need any lotion and that is how moisturizing this Olay body wash is. Pretty affordable too at $7.99

9. Tom’s of Maine Prebiotic Soap

Another hit product. I saw the word prebiotic and I was sold. I love alternating between bar soap and body wash. This too is very moisturizing. It is only $5.99

10. Maybelline New York The Falsies Lash Lift Mascara

Abandon all your other mascaras and purchase this. I am so serious! It gives so much volume and lift, it is ridiculous. Plus it’s only $9.99. You can’t beat the price.

11. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

If you have oily skin then you know how important it is to have a setting spray that keeps the shine away. Been using this for years because it works. So it’s no surprise that this is on their list. Mini $15

12. The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm

The Inkey List has gained so much popularity lately due to it’s glowing reviews. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or dry plus it doubles as a mask as well. Cost $9.99

13. Ole Henricksen Banana Bright Eye Creme

My first eye cream love and I have yet to find another product that works as beautifully as this one does. One of the pricier products is $39.00 but it does brighten.

14. Women’s Rogaine 5% Minoxidil Foam

I have seen some good results with Rogaine for my bald edges. It is a bit pricey at $44.00 but it works so I will keep using it.

15. The Mane Choice Prickly Pear Paradise Overnight Mask

Shortening my actual wash day is always a goal of mine and that is why I love this overnight mask. Plus it helps to make my hair more manageable on wash day. Love it. The cost is $14.00

Stay tuned for part 2. But do you see any of your faves on this list or any that you would like to try?

Until next time my loves ~ xoxo Dee
